Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has donated Rs. 2 crore to Mumbai Police Foundation to support frontline warriors fighting against the Coronavirus pandemic.
On Monday, Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh thanked the actor for his donation and added that the contribution will go a long way in safeguarding the lives of men and women working in the Mumbai Police force.
In his acceptance tweet, the Bachchan Pandey actor said that he salutes the Mumbai Police constables Chandrakant Pendurkar & Sandip Surve, who laid their lives fighting Corona and also urged people to contribute to the Foundation.
Akshay Kumar had earlier donated Rs. 25 crore to PM CARES Fund.
