Commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland on Wednesday reported a 82 per cent drop in domestic sales to 2,132 units in June. The company sold 12,085 units in June 2019.
Of the total sales in June, light commercial vehicles (LCV) sales stood at 1,560 units as against 4,305 units in the same month last year. The company sold 559 medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) trucks, registering a 91 percent drop from 6,253 units in the previous year while it sold only 13 M&HCV buses as compared to 1,527 units in previous June.
Total sales (including domestic and exports) for the month of June fell by 81 per cent to 2,394 units. In June 2019, the company sold 12,810 units.
Shares of Ashok Leyland closed at Rs. 48.25 apiece in NSE on Wednesday, up by 2.77 per cent from the previous day’s close.
