Commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland reported a 90 per cent drop in domestic sales to 1,277 units in May. The company has sold 12,788 units during the same month last year.
Of the total sales during the month, 1,126 were light commercial vehicles (LCV) while Medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) truck sales stood at 151 units. The company didn’t sell any M&HCV buses in May.
Total sales, including domestic and exports, for the month of May fell by 89 per cent to 1,420 units. In May 2019, the company sold 13,172 units.
Shares of Ashok Leyland closed at Rs. 46.25 apiece in NSE on Monday, up by 8.95 per cent from the previous day’s close.
