Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday announced that a detailed lockdown plan for Delhi, based on Central government’s lockdown guidelines, will be announced on Monday.
The central government on Sunday extended the nationwide lockdown till May 31 to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country.The Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday announced the lockdown extension along with detailed guidelines with considerable relaxations in Lockdown 4.0 restrictions.
“Centre’s guidelines are largely in line with the proposal sent by Delhi govt based on suggestions of lakhs of Delhiites,” Kejriwal said in a tweet adding that, “We have used the lockdown period to prepare our healthcare system if Corona cases increase, but it is now time to relax the restrictions to some extent.”
“Delhi govt will prepare the detailed plan for Delhi based on the Centre’s guidelines and announce it tomorrow,” he said in the following tweet.
The number of positive coronavirus cases in Delhi as on 8 AM on Sunday stood 9,333 active cases, out of which 3,926 patients were cured / discharged while the number of deaths stood at 129.
