The Ministry of Civil Aviation today said that all the domestic and international scheduled airlines operation will remain suspended till 11.59 pm of 3rd May 2020
The announcement came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s televised address to the nation extending the nationwide lockdown till May 3.
The minister for civil aviation, Hardeep Singh Puri said the ministry will consider lifting restrictions on both domestic & international flights after the lockdown is over and urged travellers to bear in the interim.
The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) also issued a circular stating that, “All scheduled international commercial passenger services shall remain closed till 18.30 Hrs GMT of May 3rd, 2020. However, this restriction will not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA.”
