Bollywood actor cum producer John Abraham is all set to remake the hit Malayalam drama Ayyappanum Koshiyum in Hindi, which starred Prithviraj and Biju Menon in the titular roles.
On Tuesday, Abraham, who owns the production house JA entertainment, made the announcement about the remake on Twitter.
“Ayyappanum Koshiyum, a film that strikes a perfect balance between action, thrill and a good story. At JA Entertainment we are keen to bring such appealing stories to our audience..we hope to make a truly engaging film with this remake in Hindi. Really Excited !!!” the actor wrote in microblogging site
However, it is still unclear whether Abraham will play a role in the hindi remake.
“By doing what we do with dedication and focus, we hope to make a truly engaging film with this remake. This film also fits right into our future plans as we believe that the Hindi film industry will bounce back with efficient and entertaining projects soon after the COVID-19 crisis,” Abraham said in a statement.
The Malayalam movie, which is about an egoistic clash between Ayyappan (Biju Menon), a senior police officer and Havildar Koshi (Prithviraj Sukumaran), who comes to the village with a motive.
Ayyappanum Koshiyum is currently streaming on Amazon Prime platform
