India’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki on Saturday announced that it has extended the validity of its services including free service, primary warranty and extended warranty till June 2020.
In a regulatory filing, the company said customers whose validity period expired between Mar 15 and May 31, who could not avail the benefits due to the lockdown amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, can now avail the services till June 30.
“The initiative will give an opportunity to the customers who could not avail the previous service and warranty benefits due to lockdown,” the company’s statement said.
As many states have relaxed the restrictions in the fourth phase of lockdown, many automobile manufacturers have resumed production and are opening up showrooms in the non-containment zones.
Earlier this week, Maruti Suzuki announced its collaboration with HDFC Bank to offer a bouquet of flexible finance schemes for vehicle purchase for the benefits of its customers and recover the sales which have been hit hard due to the coronavirus pandemic.
