Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the annual session of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at 11 am today.
“After Unlock-1 has been announced, this would be the Prime Minister’s first major speech on aspects relating to the Indian economy,”PMO tweeted.
The inaugural address will take place via virtual meeting, where the prime minister will speak on the subject ‘Getting Growth Back’.
The address comes at a time when the Modi-led government at the Centre completes one year of its second term.
While announcing the fifth phase of nationwide lockdown till June 30, the Centre, on Saturday, announced that restrictions in non-containments zones will be relaxed in a phased manner.
Over the course of the four earlier lockdowns, the government has allowed several activities in non-containment zones such as resumption of manufacturing, services, opening up of small businesses to spur economic activities and growth.
